Golf simulator room planner
Compare measured space with the requirements in your equipment manual. Unknown measurements remain unknown.
Measure your usable width, depth and height above the hitting surface. Take equipment dimensions and clearances from the manual for your exact model. These tools compare dimensions; they cannot certify a safe swing or contain an errant ball.
How the comparison works
For a net, required width = footprint width + left clearance + right clearance. Required depth = footprint depth + front clearance + rear clearance. Required height = kit height + top clearance. Remaining margin = usable space − required space. A negative margin means that dimension does not fit.
For a simulator, compare each room dimension with the maker’s minimum and the screen’s footprint. Confirm screen stand-off, monitor placement, ball flight distance and swing room separately. This simplified comparison does not replace the installation manual.
An example, not a recommendation
For an imaginary net 3 m wide with 0.25 m clearance on each side, you need 3.5 m of width. A 4 m usable space leaves 0.5 m. These are illustrative inputs, not a safety standard or a product specification.
If a maker does not state a clearance, leave it blank and ask them. Zero means the maker explicitly permits zero clearance, not that a measurement is missing.
